Security Guard - Casino jobs in Grand Rapids, MI

General Information

• On-site security guard
• Shift hours: 8-12 hours (1st and 2nd Shift Available)
• Full & Part-Time Available

This position will be based on a 12-15 month deployment, with further opportunities upon completion.

• Pay rate: $17 / hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Attention to detail and problem solving while performing high end customer service to visitors and staff while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Processing a cool, calm and collected communication style with site leaders, vendors and employees.
• Using RFID technology to scan in visitors, while using personal cell phone to effectively communicate to personnel and leadership when necessary.
• Respond to security needs and calls for service
• Provide customer service to patrons and employees
• Conduct regular inspections of patrol and fixed post assignments
• Write reports and conduct interviews with victims and witnesses
• Secure crime scenes until local law enforcement arrives
• Work with local public agencies to ensure safety and security goals are met
• Arrive on time in proper uniform
• Stand post, which may require standing or walking for extended periods of time

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education level
• Ability to pass a background check
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality
• Ability to memorize and quickly retrieve relevant information for incidents
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for up to 12 hours
  
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
• Availability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, and weekends
