SUMMARY:
Observes patrons and employees participating in gambling activities to detect infractions of house rules. Ensures that Grand River Casino & Resort’s premises are secure while giving prompt service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Security Guard ensures compliance with company standards and tribal gaming regulations by monitoring all departments, and reports incidents to the appropriate departmental supervisors and directors. He/she must be knowledgeable of all casino operations and internal controls. He/she will escort all hand-pays and jackpot payouts and observes and escorts table games and slot drops, and cage access. The Security Guard will perform Access Guard duties when required. He/she will assist in operational procedures for activities such as traffic control, guarding and patrolling physical property, and conducting investigations. He/she performs internal and external perimeter checks per shift, completes and maintains logbooks, and must be able to work rotating shifts on a weekly basis. The Security Guard performs other duties as assigned by the Security Shift Supervisor and/or Director. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements – Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
PREREQUISITES:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Key license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision and not be color blind. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have CPR, A.E.D and First Aid training or the ability to achieve such certificates.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED.
EXPERIENCE: Three months experience in the security field or the casino environment preferred. Must be able to administer professional communication skills with internal and external guests and ensure confidentiality.
PHYSICAL: Must be physically able to withstand continued walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting for periods of 8 hours or more and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
