Security Manager implements security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Manager trains staff and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Monitors and inspects systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Manager participates in education programs and contributes to communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Engages with local, state, provincial, or federal authorities to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Initiates or assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the delivery of high quality, efficient operations, sales, and service to Bank clients. This includes the professional development of all staff to include proper hiring, training, and coaching of all employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Completes monthly certifications to ensure compliance with current 1st Security Bank policies and procedures.
Ensures the branch receives an annual audit score of Satisfactory.
Assists the manager in attaining branch goals by coaching staff on their sales activities.
Provides leadership, training, and supervision to staff by scheduling documented weekly coaching sessions with each team member and utilizing their Branch Development Plan.
Ability to multitask and prioritize job responsibilities as required while maintaining organization.
Ensures excellent customers service skills are practices by all staff members.
Professional oral and written communication skills and follow-up when corresponding with employees and customers.
Assists with Retail Support by participating in the call queue for all retail staff.
Meets weekly with the Branch Manager to discuss updates on employee status.
Ensures sufficient staff coverage to meet customer needs.
Primary contact for branch facility issues.
Maximizes income and minimizes expense through ongoing improvements of branch procedures and practices.
Provides operational support by communicating, implementing, and monitoring compliance with bank policies and procedures
In the absence of the branch manager, is responsible for branch administration and operations including product sales, customer services, security and safety.
Performs Personal Banker functions/duties, including opening new accounts for businesses and households.
Researching and problem solving customer issues or complaints that require a management-level decision.
Adheres to 1st Security Bank Core Values, policies and procedures.
Supports management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner and always represents the bank with a high level of integrity.
Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years banking experience and/or experience within a financial institution, including one year supervisory experience.
Ability to demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that pertain to this position and must be able to keep up to date on regulation changes.
Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and related programs.
Must be bondable.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software.
