Security Manager jobs in Washington
Security Manager implements security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Manager trains staff and establishes operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Monitors and inspects systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Manager participates in education programs and contributes to communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Engages with local, state, provincial, or federal authorities to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Initiates or assists with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position Title: Senior Security Operations Manager
Location: Redmond, Washington (WA)
Summary:
The Senior Security Operations Manager manages and develops campus response strategies to include the completion of daily operational tasks to support all elements of a large technology client’s security operations. This is a critical leadership role that is responsible for developing and optimizing workforce operation. The Senior Operations Manager must be able to develop and drive workforce productivity, execute the operations program strategy and interface regularly with the client and vendor partners on security-related matters. Activities include but are not limited to critical incident management, reporting, investigations, policy enforcement related to operational effectiveness, risk management, and employee engagement.

Position Qualifications:
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone)
- Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private)
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States
- Capability of managing guard service functions and conflict resolutions
- Ensures delivery of high-quality customer service
- Organized, self-disciplined, technologically savvy, compliant, and communicates timely and effectively at all levels
- Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Education/Experience:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- 5 years of; Security Management, Law Enforcement Experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Company
- Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English
