*This position is located in our Westlake, OH office but eligible for a hybrid schedule.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Dedicated Relationship Manager effectively manages and supports an assigned Equity Trust Company (ETC) relationship. Provides assistance and resolution for the assigned dedicated relationship and provides exceptional customer service through education on policies, procedures, and online tools/resources. Partners and communicates with other departments to achieve overall customer satisfaction and a positive net promoter scores (NPS).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Places outbound calls to assigned relationship contacts to assess business needs and determine an opportunity for future account growth; proactively follows-up with account representatives on pending transactions.
- Communicates with relationship/client on processes, including establishing accounts, investment transactions, transfers in/out and asset reviews.
- Anticipates and assesses client needs and business model(s), and resolves issues while retaining the client base and continuing to grow business.
- Explains prohibited transactions, IRS rules, regulations and codes to the team and any third-party relationship.
- Works collaboratively within the organization and continuously aids in process improvements.
- Engages in the preparation of reports that are sent to the designated relationship and understands the details that go into establishing subscriptions through various formats.
- Assists in identifying trends and providing recommendations to the Institutional Sales Manager for implementing.
- Reviews transaction paperwork, identifies deficiencies, and works with Client to resolve deficiencies.
- Inspects depository reports and assists with the settlement process.
- Monitors operational queue and escalates items to leadership, as needed.
- Resolves client escalation issues and reports trends to leadership and Client .
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Participates in sales events as required.
- Trains and assists with Equity’s online client portal.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of sales or relationship management experience.
- Financial service industry preferred.
- Experience speaking with C-level executives and/or financial advisors.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION(S):
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Proficient PC skills including Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Working knowledge and ability to refer to IRS rules, and additional regulations and codes.
- Understands transactions and tax codes that result in utilizing the 1099, 5498 and 990-T forms.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. It requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
