UC Riverside's Dining Services is recruiting for new Senior Cook to serve as our Mashgiach at our new Scotty's Grill Market: Mediterranean Delights and Kosher Convenience. We will provide the required Mashgiach Training with a kosher certifying agency. The new Scotty's Grill Market combines the richness of the Mediterranean with the traditions of kosher dining. The new Scotty's Grill Market will allow guests to experience convenience, quality, and exceptional flavors like never before. Whether a lover of Mediterranean cuisine, a follower of kosher dietary laws, or simply seeking a unique dining experience, Scotty's Grill Market is the destination that has it all. The full salary range for the Senior Cook is $19.97 - $26.88 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
This Senior Cook (Mashgiach) is responsible for providing supervision, team leadership, training and support to all associates who will be involved with the service of kosher meals. This position is the on-site inspector to ensure all Jewish dietary laws are followed. They are responsible for opening the kosher grill daily, including turning on all burners, ovens, grills, steamers or any other heating equipment used in the kosher restaurant. This Senior Cook (Mashgiach) follows established timelines for food production as required by customer flow. They interacts with team members and guests in a high-volume dining setting. They maintain quality through following guidelines and guarantee the kosher supervising agency's policies are maintained.
