NVCSS is a non-profit agency that provides mental health counseling, case management, support services and housing to individuals and families.
Our Counseling Department provides youth specialty mental health services throughout Shasta and Butte Counties. We provide therapeutic and case management services to full-scope Medi-Cal school-aged youth and families in school-based, community, and home settings, utilizing a comprehensive clinical approach and multiple modalities to restore functioning. We provide our staff the flexibility to explore their perspectives on healing in both focused and eclectic styles while remaining on the cutting edge of new interventions and trauma-informed care. Additionally, many of our staff are trained and teach additional strategies in both individual and parent work, including the Nurtured Heart Approach and the Strengthening Families Model, to promote positive family relationships and reinforce bonds.
Our diverse team consists of our Counseling Leadership team, including the Assistant Director of Mental Health and Director of Mental Health, as well as supervisors, therapists, social workers, case managers, a data specialist, billing specialists, trainees and an IT team. Our BBS supervisors offer a range of educational backgrounds and training and include LMFTs, PhD, and an LCSW overseeing staff in all areas of professional development.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced clinician that is looking for a rewarding challenge to manage and lead our Counseling Department primarily in our Chico office, but will occasionally travel to the Redding office. This role will serve in the Counseling Leadership team and will be responsible to direct, plan, organize, coordinate and supervise all staff within the Counseling Department.
