- How You Will Make an Impact The Warranty / Service Administrator is responsible for reviewing, processing and closing warranty claims, as well as assisting with department functions. This role works very closely with multiple departments including, but not limited to, the Parts and Service Department. The Nuts and Bolts Process factory warranty claims (online or manually) efficiently and accurately by obtaining warranty authorization prior to work beginning Upload all necessary documents for warranty authorization and follow any/all procedures as prescribed in the manufacturer’s warranty policy and/or procedure manuals Ensure all policies and procedures have been followed by technicians prior to processing paperwork or signing off on technician hours applied to warranty claim Follow up on all warranty receivables to ensure payment is received in a timely manner Communicate with Service Advisors and technicians as needed for diagnosis, authorization and/or repairs Process and enter all service orders accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate information in the service system by updating changes throughout the day as the changes occur, for both warranty claims and service orders Answer incoming telephone calls from manufacturers (warranty claims) and/or customers (service orders), always responding in a courteous and professional manner Required Credentials Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to identify root cause Ability to resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner over the phone and in person The ability to collaborate with a multi-department team May require knowledge of navigating into BOM, finding parts, and locating drawings, reading and understanding Engineering drawings Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment, with urgent deadlines, multi-task and prioritize Excellent organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail How We Make an Impact At Reading Truck, we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture, distribution, and enhancement of work truck bodies.
