PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for the sale of fuel and other automotive products and will be responsible for processing credit or debit card transactions and payments. Other responsibilities will include the performance of such services as fueling vehicles/equipment, processing invoices and performing maintenance of the property, both indoors and outdoors. All duties will be performed with a consistently high focus on customer service. Provide customer service and marketing assistance to increase customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Refuel vehicles and perform minor service checks and maintenance such as washing the windshield and checking fluid levels and oil level.
Provides unsurpassed customer experiences to all customers by communicating in a positive and professional manner.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
Receive and process payments from customers as well as issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change.
Compiles data and prepares accurate invoices for all service work and products sold in a timely manner to ensure accurate receivables.
Assists in maintaining accurate inventory and inventory position (booking) records for all products.
Perform minor property maintenance duties such as sweeping service station lot, cleaning of retail space, warehouse and restroom.
Establish or identify prices of goods and services, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or price scanners.
Supports all Managers/Salespeople with marketing activities.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
May be required to drive and run local errands as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and related experience and/or training to demonstrate the ability to accurately handle cash transactions, generate profitable sales and build repeat customers.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Customer service and/or retail experience preferred
Able to work with minimal supervision
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
May be required to work extended hours.
May be required to travel independently and overnight.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
WORKING CONDITIONSLifting or moving up to 70lbs may be required
Will perform work both indoors and outdoors
Outdoor work may be performed in inclement weather, in a wide range of temperatures
