Set Designer designs motion picture or television production sets, signs, props, or scenic effects. Prepares scale drawings for use in construction, modification, or alteration. Being a Set Designer may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Set Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Accountabilities and Duties
The Designer is accountable to Mayshark for developing design solutions for projects that he or she is assigned, including prospective projects. Coordinating with Project Managers is an expectation of this position. Designers meet with clients to help capture their ideas and transform them into executable plans.

A Designer must have exceptional creativity and innovation with a solid background in construction processes. He or she must also understand best practices, current trends, accessibility needs, quality control and how each of these factors affects living and work space. A Designer must be well organized with exceptional communication skills, and he or she must be able to work both independently and on a team. A Designer must also favor safety above everything else.
