Being a Set Designer may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Set Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.     ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Collaborate with fellow Creative Team members, Account Executives, Technical Directors, and clients to design a set that is on point creatively and on budget.
    2. Envision and develop innovative stage/set designs as assigned by the Set & Design Manager.
    3. Communicate stage designs visually with 3D drawings and renders.
    4. Consider sight lines, lighting, sound, special show requirements per client, etc.
    5. Incorporate relevant branding and marketing into designs.
    6. Manage time effectively and balance multiple projects. Keep manager and stakeholders updated on progress and apply feedback as needed.
    7. Positively contribute to brainstorming sessions or inquiries about possibilities.
    8. Develop a thorough understanding of our inventory and rental capabilities to leverage as needed in your work.
    9. Understand safety guidelines and restrictions that could impact your designs, and plan accordingly.
    10. Stay current on new technologies, products, and trends.

      REQUIREMENTS 

    1. Three years’ experience designing corporate, music, or theatre stages.
    2. Portfolio of high-quality work and project samples.
    3. Mastery of design concepts.
    4. Working knowledge of the elements required to design a set. (Includes lighting, video, scenic, rigging and staging.)
    5. Working knowledge of CAD software, Vectorworks preferred.
    6. Mastery of 3D rendering software, Cinema 4D preferred.
    7. Must be able to work efficiently and deliver projects on time.
    8. Attend site visits and shows as assigned.
    9. Not a remote position. Work is on site at company headquarters.
