Set Designer designs motion picture or television production sets, signs, props, or scenic effects. Prepares scale drawings for use in construction, modification, or alteration. Being a Set Designer may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Set Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Specialty Laborer

  • Specialty Laborer - Primary jobsite locations are in and around Los Alamos, NM but work may be needed elsewhere such as our Rio Rancho location so commuting will be required.

    Job Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited To:

    · Demolition, waste cleanup, and removal

    · Clean-up, packaging, removal, and decontamination of various materials

    · Maintain strict safety standards and communication daily with site Safety Representatives

    · Perform specialized tasks which may require on and off the job training and assist other company, client, or vendor support staff

    · Effectively use heavy and small equipment and tools, depending on the jobsite/tasks

    · Wear personal protective equipment such as hard hats, hearing protection, fall protection, respirators, etc. as needed

    · Site, shop, and vehicle maintenance and housekeeping

    · Perform various physical duties as assigned while working either in a crew or individual setting

    This position is full time, Monday through Thursday (four 10 hour workdays) but may occasionally require overtime and/or weekend work. Full time benefits are included after a brief probation period and include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as paid sick and vacation leave.

    Training will be required at the start of and throughout the course of employment, we are looking for an applicant that is willing to learn the additional skillsets needed to move up within the company. Additional training may include HAZWOPER, OSHA, Heavy Equipment Operation, CDL, etc.

    This position requires many physical demands such as lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods of time, working outside in inclement weather conditions, walking long distances and on uneven terrain. Proper PPE will be provided to ensure all safety requirements are met.

    Primary jobsite locations are in and around Los Alamos, NM

    Qualifications:

    Previous labor/construction/remediation/demolition experience (Minimum 1 year).

    Valid Driver’s License, satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR required), reliable transportation.

    Due to the nature and location of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

    Ability to pass federal background check.

    Applicant must pass a pre-job drug screen.

    Computer knowledge (word, excel, email)


    Wage:

    Based on experience level - $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
