Concord Water and Sewer in Van Buren, AR is looking for a Water Meter Technician. This candidate must :

• Be able to withstand all weather conditions
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift at least 50 pounds
• Hours of operation is M-F 8am-4:30pm, however, candidate MUST be able to work an on call schedule: Emergency call outs can happen any time of the day or night as we provide a 24/7 service
• Operate heavy machinery and practice safety procedures

This opening is primarily for meter call outs, however, cross training is required in all other areas; Water line repairs, sewer plant/lift station maintenance, etc.

Main Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Obtain meter readings on site for monthly billing
• Clean up around meters: Rake, apply grass killer, paint lids, etc.
• Meter changeouts and meter reprogramming as needed
• Customer call outs
• Assist in making emergency repairs for main breaks, sewer plant or lift station issues
• Mowing, weed eating, clean up around lift stations and pump house

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCEAND BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREENING, BACKGROUND CHECK, AND HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

Pay is based on experience and licensing. 90 day evaluation with a potential of a $1-$2 increase depending on performance!

Water Distribution License and / or Wastewater Operator Licensing is a plus.

Pay: $29,848.00 - $37,440.00 per year
