Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Accountable for inventory through documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count and inventory discrepancies. Audits incoming and outgoing documentation and transactions to assure quality and accuracy. Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry. Inventory, Finance, Material Accounting, or cycle counting experience required. Inventory analysis from raw data. Warehouse Management System experience a plus. Good verbal and written skills essential for communications with company employees, its suppliers and customers. Willingness to learn new processes, make improvement suggestions and interact with a variety of personnel on a local and global environment. Team Player. Microsoft Suite: proficient in Excel and Word a must. Analysis of inventory data, transactions, material movement and associated issues a must.
Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications: • Experience in Materials Management • Experience with SAP and the Oil & Gas industry. • Strong analytical, computer (MS Office suite), and communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships. • Ability to perform independently in both an office and field environment. • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment. • Good organization and time management skills. Essential Job Duties • SAP entry of all in and outbound movements for the Oxy Carlsbad warehouse. • Purchase requisition creation. • Entry of physical inventory counts within SAP.
