Shipping Clerk jobs in Chillicothe, OH
The Shipping Documentation Specialist II coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Shipping Documentation Specialist II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. A supply company is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to work a first shift position from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Duties:- Use a pallet jack to unload trucks
- Pick, pack, sort, and organize products
- Move and stack boxes up to 50 pounds or an 8 hour shift
- Printing packing slips and shipping labels
- Check and verify the accuracy of the orders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Must have a High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree is a plus
- Must have a minimum of 3 years continuous shipping, receiving, warehouse experience with the same employer
- Must have the ability to operate a pallet jack
- Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be computer literate with accurate data entry skills
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while working well with others
- Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
