The Shipping Documentation Specialist II coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Shipping Documentation Specialist II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. - Basic Function: The Shipping / Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving incoming materials and shipping finished goods properly. In addition, he or she is responsible for any other task the Shipping / Receiving Manager deems necessary. This will be a first shift, Monday through Friday position. During the training period, the hours will be 7:00am - 3:30pm. After training, the regular working hour will be 8:00am - 4:30pm. Occasional overtime may be required. Essential Functions: Determine amount of product needed for order Bring product to Shipping Area Inform Scheduling of insufficient stock levels Ensure that correct stencils, barcodes, and labels are applied as required Complete assembly of finished pallets/ finished goods (including wrapping and banding) Unload and load trucks Receive shipments and place stock in designated locations Complete appropriate receiving verification report upon receipt of each item Contact QA when shipments are ready to be audited Complete Bill of Lading and customs paperwork Verify that Bill of Lading has been signed by the driver, and that trailer numbers have been documented before the driver is allowed to leave Report problem conditions to the Plant Manager Call truck lines for shipment Verify Bill of Lading / Pick up/ Routing Number with driver prior to loading shipments Send product certification when required Transport completed paperwork to Sales department after shipment Keep work area clean and organized Enter Receiving Reports in SAP Obtain lot numbers as required from QA Ensure QA verifies correct receipt of bulk goods by signing the receiving paperwork Report daily missing receipts to Purchasing Log returnable containers received and shipped Communicate effectively with all Team Members Understand and fill orders Load and unload trucks Complete all associated paperwork Scan materials in and out of SAP "Approved for use" Labels must be put on raw materials before moving to designated Area All EMS and QMS documentations are to be retrieved through Uniseal Intranet (No short cuts on desktop) Perform scheduled cycle counts for finished goods Skills / Competencies: Superior communication skills (in person and on telephone) Excellent organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving skills Proficiency in SAP Ability to follow specific shipping/ receiving procedures Education: High School Diploma Experience: Shipping/receiving experience preferred Please visit: www.uniseal.com to learn more about our company.
