Job Description:

The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing and processing shipments, managing inventory, and coordinating with carriers and customers to ensure timely delivery. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: 

• Receive, review, and process incoming orders for shipment.
• Verify and ensure accuracy of order details, including quantity, price, and shipping requirements.
• Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary shipping documents.
• Collaborate with Managers & logistics technicians to determine the most appropriate shipping methods and carriers.
• Communicate with Customer Service representatives & Sales Department to address any shipment-related inquiries or issues.
• Review incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to prioritize and plan shipment activities.
• Ensure shipments are properly packed, labeled, and loaded onto trucks or other transportation vehicles.
• Coordinate with carriers for pick-ups and deliveries, tracking shipment progress as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Report any discrepancies or shortages to management.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines when handling and shipping hazardous materials, if applicable.
• Assist in resolving shipment-related problems or delays, working with relevant stakeholders to find solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must Speak English well
• Must be Forklift Certified
• Proficient in using shipping software and computer systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of relevant shipping regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy packages, if required.
