Job Title: Shipping Clerk  

Job Purpose: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for mailing results, invoices, Water testing kits, and along sampling supplies to customers in an efficient and timely manner. Duties include, but not limited to, running envelopes through postage machine, packaging sample supplies, Shipping platform use, online order management, printing mailing/shipping labels and restocking inventory.

Reports to: HR Business Manager     

Operational Responsibilities

• Prepare mail with postage before 1:00 pm every day.
• Effectively use Shipping software.
• Manage online orders, to include creating customer accounts as needed.
• Package sample supplies with necessary handling materials.
• Complete all sample supply requests before USPS / UPS deadline.
• Manage time efficiently to ensure all mailings and supplies meet the daily deadline.
• Maintain up to date shipping records.
• Restock sample supplies in shipping area.
• Actively participate in ongoing training programs.
• Keep the work area clean and clear of all potential hazards.
• Provide duties deemed appropriate by the position supervisor.

Working Conditions

• Work will be performed primarily in the climate-controlled company facilities. 
• Areas may be congested.
• Working directly with exposure to airborne particles and dust particles. 
• Requires adherence to strict safety standards and procedures.  
• This position is required to meet strict deadlines and works with a diverse group of personalities.

Specific Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and understand documents related to standard procedures.
• Must be able to lift to 40 pounds on a routine basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day.
• Must have driver’s license and/or reliable way to get to work.
