The Shipping Documentation Specialist II coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. We are currently looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk assists with both the shipping & receiving of products as a function of the department. In addition, you will be responsible for putting away inventory, restocking shipping supplies, and general cleanliness of the shipping area and warehouse.
Please Note: This is a Part-Time position of 20 hours per week. Schedule is Monday-Friday (4) hours per day. This could be 9:00am - 1:00pm or something around that timeframe if it works better with your schedule. If desired, it may be possible to work 4 days per week and have a mid-week day off.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Process receiving shipments.
·Put inventory away in a neat and organized fashion.
· Process shipping of customer orders.
· Accurately maintain shipping records.
· Work with management to increase operational efficiencies.
· Pick orders and package.
· Maintain organization of inventory.
· Troubleshoot shipping issues that arise and work to solve them.
· Report any quality issues or other major discrepancies to management.
· Place merchandise in staging area by packaging, lifting items as necessary.
·Pick up warehouse and keep area clean
· Restock shipping supplies
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Team Player
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping or warehousing.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Excellent organization, computer, and administrative skills as well as attention to detail.
