Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy of contents and ensuring proper documentation
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and completing necessary paperwork
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory and update records
- Operate order picker, reach truck, pallet jack, and other equipment to move and store materials
- Perform order picking, packing, loading, and unloading of products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the distribution center
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues
Skills:
- Proficient in using AS400 or similar inventory management software
- Experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS)
- Familiarity with order picking processes and techniques
- Ability to operate order picker, reach truck, pallet jack, and other equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and external partners
