The Shipping Documentation Specialist II coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Shipping Documentation Specialist II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. Shipping Clerk Job Summary:
- Pay Rate: TBD
- Shift Available
- 6 a.m. to 230 p.m. (M-F)
- Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory. Duties include verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material and arranging for the transportation of products. May prepare items for shipment.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifest, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping order, to route materials.
- Contact carrier representatives to decide or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Loading and Unloading using Forklift
- High school diploma or Equivalent
- Forklift Experience a must
- Microsoft Office/Computer Skills
- Inventory tracking software
- Must be OK with working outside
