      Description: COUNSELING OFFICE CLERK AT IRVING MIDDLE SCHOOL

      Job Summary: The principal function is to assist the full time Counselors in the counseling center with testing, managing the calling in of learners, and aiding in keeping counseling schedules.

      Salary Schedule: Rate of pay will be $15.29 per hour

      Hours worked: 32.5 hours per week. Nine month employment.

      Position Detail and Must be a strong team player with positive , flexible attitude, integrity and strong interpersonal skills helping with the following:
      Qualifications:
      Perform clerical duties for counselors.

      Schedules counseling appointments.

      Greets and and screens students, and visitors for the counseling office. Answers and screens phone calls.

      Accurately operate the Infinite Campus computer database to enter, retrieve, review, or modify data.

      Maintains a professional atmosphere in the registrar's office by greeting and assisting staff, students, and visitors.

      Answers the telephone; takes messages; provides information and assistance to students, staff, parents, district personnel
      and the public. In addition to communicating customer friendly messaging as needed via e-mail or in person.

      Must be able to work with job-related software such as Word, Excel or others.

      Working Conditions: Will be working in the Counselfing Office at Franklin Middle School

      Employment Information: Current employees that are interested in a transfer must apply through APPLITRACKS - internal application. Must pass a typing test at 40 average actual net words
      per minute with a 90% accuracy rate. Typing test must be taken at the Department of Labor. Skills testing will be required for all finalists.
      The skills tests will include Excel 2010 and Basic Office Skills.
