Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Work with the inventory manager to locate parts and track shipments
Work with front and back counter employees to locate parts, special orders and track shipments
Receive and ship out parts orders
Put incoming freight in designated areas
Process paperwork
Help drivers and others with orders
Complete special order part requests
Perform other duties as assigned
