The Shipping Documentation Specialist II coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. 1. PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To package and ship parts to customers on a timely basis and receive in raw materials.
2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Package and prepare sub-C parts for delivery.
Package and label parts for local delivery and shipment using UPS WorldShip, FedEx software
Assists in loading and unloading truck when necessary.
Receives and verifies UPS/FedEx Raw Materials using purchase orders and packing slips
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, management, customers, and delivery personnel.
3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Performs other duties as assigned. May regularly drive company owned delivery vehicles and deliver or pick-up customer parts. Must present a valid Oregon Driver’s License with a clean record.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE –
A. This job typically prefers 2 years experience in a manufacturing shipping environment preferred
High school diploma or equivalent.
Stand for long periods of time performing repetitive tasks.
Work in a fast paced environment
Ability to regularly lift heavy items up to 50 pounds.
Basic computer literacy required.
Forklift Certification or the ability to be certified through company provided training.
Ability to read, write and follow instructions in English.
