The Shipping Documentation Specialist II coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Support Manager, pack and ship prescriptions following all shipping procedures.
Essential Functions
Education:• High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:• Preferred, one-year minimum of shipping/receiving experience
Skills:• Ability to lift 20lbs.• Ability to work in a standing environment.• Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously.• Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, and management.• Work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.• Ability to perform repetitious work accurately.• Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.• Attention to detail.
Environmental/Working conditions:This position requires prolonged standing. In addition, this position requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment, including the operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients and employees. This position may be required to work long hours.
