The Shipping Documentation Specialist II coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Shipping Documentation Specialist II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. Schedule : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, Monday - Saturday with plenty of overtime available!
What you would be working on :
- Receive and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, distributing packages and letters within the company.
- Schedule shipments and plan logistics to ensure there is sufficient storage space for all items and staff on hand to manage the shipments.
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regilar shipping and receiving reports for managers.
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
- Place merchandise in warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary and operating forklifts or pallet jacks for large goods.
What will help you be successful :
- At least 2 years of experience in a shipping and receiving or shipping clerk role.
- 2 years experience operating forklifts.
- Detail oriented.
