Shipping Operations Manager manages shipping operations' daily activities, including order processing, inventory tracking, documentation, and transportation oversight. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions, analyze performance metrics, and generate reports. Being a Shipping Operations Manager ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping quality issues, damages, or lost freight claims. Additionally, Shipping Operations Manager develops and maintains relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. ABOUT OUR SECURITY SPECIALIST POSITIONS
This position will be responsible for monitoring security on containers deployed worldwide, communicating container security status to GSS personnel and container users, gathering data on deployed containers, and troubleshooting our low voltage security systems in our secure shipping containers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitor security systems on deployed containers worldwide, as part of a team providing 24hour/7 day coverage
· Maintain daily logs of security events
· Conduct and record security checks on active systems
· Test and monitor systems before deployment
· Report and or troubleshoot security alarms
· Work as a liaison between customers and security systems contractors to resolve issues
· Report security information to management
· Create Instruction/ process manuals for internal and external use
· Create and maintain records of daily problems and remedial actions taken
· Manage ownership of issues through lifecycle including follow-ups with the escalation team
