Shipping Operations Manager manages shipping operations' daily activities, including order processing, inventory tracking, documentation, and transportation oversight. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions, analyze performance metrics, and generate reports. Being a Shipping Operations Manager ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping quality issues, damages, or lost freight claims. Additionally, Shipping Operations Manager develops and maintains relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Our automotive manufacturing company is seeking a motivated and organized individual to fill our shipping and receiving management position. We are a production shop that thrives on producing high quality parts to ship around the country, we also install parts diagnostics and general diesel repair. Prior management or shipping/receiving experience is preferred.
The shipping and receiving position requires the following:
Keep track of all current inventory
Place orders with vendors/suppliers
Restock our inventory that arrives on a daily basis
Follow up with suppliers on back-orders
Communicate efficiently with co-workers
Package our products with high attention to detail
Create shipping labels
Update customers with tracking info in a timely manner
Communication through work email
Minor assembly and disassembly of turbo's, oil lines, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Forklift experience is a plus
Hours of operation: M-F 7:30am-4pm

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
