DESCRIPTION

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments Duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory. In addition to other assigned duties.

KEY DUTIES

• Providing routing information and issuing shipping instructions to ensure deliveries arrive on time and to their correct location
• Responding to shipping questions and tracking of goods enroute to their destination ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved so as to avoid delays.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed.
• Contact carrier and schedule shipping for each package. Accurately labeling customers orders.
• Process orders based on the customer’s preferred shipping system (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
• Affix proper postage to each package in prep for shipping. Prep and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs.
• Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
• Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.
• Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior Shipping experience is essential.

• Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery. Must have strong organizational and administrative skills.
