Job Summary:
Goodman's Interiors & Antiques online sales department is growing and we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the process. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to package all orders in a manner that they arrive undamaged, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized area. Currently the position is two days a week and will possibly be more hours in the future as online sales continue to increase. The position requires one day early in the week and another day at the end of the week. Preferred schedule is Tuesday and
Duties:
- Wrap and package every item in a manner that will offer the most protection from possible damage during the shipping process
- Record shipment data, such as weight, dimensions, and quantity received
- Unpack and organize shipping items in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items
- Use shipping software to document delivery information and prepare shipping labels
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean and organized work
Experience:
- Previous experience in shipping preferred
- Familiarity with shipping software is a plus
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
- Knowledge of shipping operations and e-commerce processes is beneficial
- Attention to detail
