Coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Being a Shipping Specialist utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. Troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Additionally, Shipping Specialist ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Shipping Specialist works under moderate supervision. Responsibilities:
The Shipping/ Receiving Clerk is responsible for the following:
· Prepare and pre-stage all upcoming shipments using FIFO.
· Accurately maintain shipping/receiving logbook.
· Provide all finalized shipping information to Admin asst.
· Properly utilize/support the ERP system.
· Properly (safely) utilize a fork-lift to: move materials within the facility, and load/unload OTR semi-tractor trailer trucks.
· Proactively alert manufacturing of any FGI inventory level shortfalls.
Other:
· Responsible for keeping Shipping/Receiving in compliance with all ISO-9001 requirements.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
· Forklift training and certificate.
Minimum Previous Experience:
· Forklift and warehouse experience required
