Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Shipping Specialist works under moderate supervision. This position coordinates a team of hourly associates working a Mid- shift Sunday to Thursday. Responsibilities Responsible for the workload planning, production, and execution of a fast-paced operation with the leadership and development nonexempt associates and salaried leaders Coordinate and ensure all safety and regulatory compliance in a proactive and positive manner Lead all aspects of shift operations to include selection, shipping, receiving, cross docking and trailer loading operations Establish weekly operations plans to ensure all customer volume is processed in a timely manner Run DCs quality functions: supervise internal/external quality controls; track service commitment levels and effectiveness, develop quality initiatives; implement standard methodologies. Balance workload planning to reach budget and production goals Lead all aspects of inventory control in our warehouse and overall quality program to meet daily levels of service and perfect order metrics Champion employee engagement through coaching and development programs, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment while enhancing individual skills and career growth.
