For over 90 years, Con Yeager Spice Co. is a family-owned and operated spice-distributing and seasoning-manufacturing company, serving commercial and retail customers. Our roots are, and continue to be, strongly anchored in the meat-processing industry. We have an immediate need for a full time Shipping & Warehouse Specialist.  This position works Monday-Friday, daylight shift.   

Job Summary Shipping & Warehouse Specialist:
This position will pick and organize customer orders and ship them via UPS and FedEx.  The Shipping & Warehouse Specialist will also pick cases of product from the warehouse, and prepare them for truck-line shipping.   The individual hired for this position will be provided training in all aspects of our shipping/warehouse duties including our customer pick up.  

Essential Duties/Responsibilities for Shipping & Warehouse Specialist:

•  Pick and organize customer order printouts
• Gather packages and/or cases of product from warehouse, ensure accuracy
• Tape all packed boxes or cases sufficiently for shipment
• Weigh each box and record all weights on customer pick sheet
• Enter customer number into UPS or FedEx computer 
• Print shipping labels, place labels on boxes and stack on pallet
• Follow procedures for warehouse shipping duties
• Greet customers in pleasant professional manner
• Assist customer to load order into/onto their vehicle

Required Skills and Abilities for Shipping & Warehouse Specialist:

• Basic knowledge of computer
• General math skills 
• Ability to follow directions
• Speak and read English
• Dependable team player
• Prior shipping experience very desirable 
  
  

Education and Experience – Shipping & Warehouse Specialist:

• One year of general work experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  
  

Physical Demands – Shipping & Warehouse Specialist:
• Standing or walking for up to 8 hours
• Sitting for up to 1 to 2 hours
• Bending and light to heavy lifting up to approximately 60 pounds

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work – Shipping & Warehouse Specialist:

• Full time, Non-Exempt (hourly)
• Monday – Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
