Shipping and Receiving Clerk assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming materials and supplies. Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you'll have responsibility in ensuring incoming materials are routed properly and our finished product is sent back to our customers in a timely manner.
What you'll do:- Receiving and shipping of parts and materials in the system
- Check for damage and create a damage report
- Open and unpack boxes
- Verify customer's paperwork and raise a discrepancy if not accurate
- Deliver parts and materials to the appropriate area
- Once parts have been repaired, move them back to shipping/receiving.
- Verify part numbers and create initial shipping paperwork
- Use best practices to pack materials for shipment back to customer
- Work with the StandardAero Customer Service team to understand shipping instructions and create labels
- Finalize shipment
- Keep track of inventory of shipping supplies
Position Requirements:- Valid class 5 driver's license (or equivalent)
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for approximately 25% of the average work day.
- Experience driving forklift
Preferred Characteristics:- Experience with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS OneWorld, DHL, and similar systems
- Well organized with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to think outside the box when solving problems
