Position Overview
The Shipping and Receiving Agent supports the Gardner Cold Storage team by coordinating activities and creating shipping documentation to external customers or other facilities. Also works with customers and internal operations to assist in managing incoming shipments. Confirms delivery completion in the business system, coordinates outbound shipments for carriers and audits all export shipments, while following policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Receive incoming shipments and direct delivery drivers to appropriate areas.
· Work with warehouse team to ensure proper material movement.
· Direct delivery drivers to appropriate areas to pick up shipments.
· Receive pick up orders and prepare necessary paperwork and other items for driver.
· Document and enter all shipping and receiving information electronically.
· Assist in maintaining carrier schedules.
· Assist in maintaining storage capacity.
· Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
