Shipping and Receiving Supervisor jobs in Biloxi, MS

Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes.     What Happens in Shipping and Receiving Anyway?
    • Interact with donors to accept and process donations at trailer sites in an outdoor setting; provide outstanding service to all donors
    • Receive newly donated items from our Donations team
    • Help us be green and sustainable, sort and ship recyclable items
    • Lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Work in the heat, the cold and in wet weather conditions
    • Unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner
