Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel
- Sort, label, and organize incoming and outgoing packages
- Prepare shipping documents, including labels, packing slips, and bills of lading
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels in the warehouse management system
- Pick orders from inventory based on customer requirements
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are properly labeled and secured
Skills:
- Proficient in order picking and packing techniques
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, stock management, and distribution center processes
- Ability to lift heavy packages and load/unload trucks safely
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for order processing
