The Shipping and Receiving Clerk The shipping and receiving clerk will sort incoming packages by building locations and departments.

They will also deliver some packages using their own vehicle to each building and department with signoff from area admin.

As part of the essential functions of this role, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk :

• When onsite at 206 S. Elmwood, ensuring cold chain deliveries are stored into the refrigerator in the mailroom. Then dispersing to departments immediately.
• Delivery of packages after they are sorted to each Buffalo area building and department admin with sign off by department admins
• Collect package returns throughout Buffalo area buildings and departments. Bring packages to mailroom. Work with Executive Admin team to weigh and adhere postage to package returns as needed.
• Delivering incoming postage mail to 206 S. Elmwood fifth floor to be sorted by Executive Administration team.
• Picks up sorted postage mail from 206 S. Elmwood firth floor to be delivered throughout Buffalo area campus and to specific departments.
• Pick up and deliver interoffice mail throughout Buffalo area campus and departments. Adheres to strict privacy standards of inter office mail pickup and delivery.
• Responsible for creating package log / sign off sheet which includes supplier, order number and date of delivery. S&R Clerk will ensure sign off from each department admin.
• S&R Clerk will sign off on package log / sign off sheet each day to confirm packages that were delivered or not delivered.
• Responsible for making sure that shipping and receiving room and overflow rooms are kept tidy and in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Other duties as requested.

Qualified candidate will have a high school diploma, or equivalent, with at least two (2) years of related experience. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally.

Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally, demonstrate familiarity with computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word) and effective time management and organization skills.

Sensitivity to people living with HIV / AIDS, addiction, cultural and LGBT issues essential. Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and an insured, dependable car to use for transporting packages as needed .

Required education : High school diploma

Required experience : Two (2) years related or customer service experience.
