We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Receiving Supervisor to join our team. As a Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving operations in our distribution center. Duties:
- Supervise and lead a team of receiving associates, providing guidance and support
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments
- Ensure accurate recording of received goods in the warehouse management system
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with received items
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with the logistics team to plan and prioritize receiving activities
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to maintain stock levels
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency
- Train new employees on receiving procedures and best practices
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and processes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Proficient in materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting
- Experience in process improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations
