Experience/Education/Skillsets Needed:

- Must be over the age of 18 to operate equipment

- Valid driver’s license (Beneficial if you know how to drive a stick)

o Driver’s License is Required at ALL Times. Any loss of driver’s license is an immediate termination.

- Must be hardworking and willing to put in a physical good day’s work to get the job done

- Self-motivating – much of the work will be performed unsupervised and self-motivation will be required in order to complete the work on schedule

Job Requirements Include:

- Safety Requirements

o Work safely and follow all HWMI and OSHA safety requirements

o Must learn and follow HWMI and OSHA Safety Program and other company Procedures

- Daily Tasks could include but are not limited to:

o Moving/organization of long term storage --- misc building supplies, equipment, fixtures, metals and misc items

o Moving/handling and storage of metals – putting metals away in racks and organizing materials including

§ Cutting up of larger scrap items with oxyfuel cutting torch, chop saw or other means to get put in scrap bins

o Occasional deliveries to customer locations via pickup truck

o Occasional metal cutting for customers in saw - assisting in unloading, loading, and cutting metals that arrive at HWMI and putting them into storage and removing them from storage for cutting

§ Tape Measure - Must know how to read a tape measure and be able to cut metal precisely after being shown how to run our band saw

- Driving Requirement

o Truck deliveries - Must have valid driver’s license and be able to make deliveries to customers locations

o Fork truck - Must pass fork truck operation test and use company fork trucks to move materials

- Work Ethic

o Must be able to work independently and stay busy.

o Good listener and willing to do anything management may see fit

o Strong organizational skills and the ability to take a disorganized area and turn it into an organized quality area

Physical Demands:

- This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, squatting, bending, handling materials, and standing for at least 8 hours consecutively (other than breaks and lunch)

- The use of safety equipment all day such as safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, helmets and hearing protection is utilized daily

- Must be able to lift and maneuver 75 to 100 lbs. without physical restrictions

- This is a 40 hour per week job with occasional mandatory overtime

- Exposure to heat, cold and weather

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $19.02 - $22.90 per hour
