SEWING & VACUUM SERVICE TECHNICIAN | SAN JOSE, CA

With 5 locations, 3 of them in the greater Sacramento area, we are the market leader in sales and service of household, commercial, and industrial sewing, quilting, embroidery machines and vacuum cleaners. We have been a market leader in the sewing & vacuum machine service industry for over 80 years, and we have excelled at providing solutions and adding value for our customers. Growth is a critical component of our business plan, and we are currently looking for Sewing and Vacuum Service Technicians to help us in that growth.

Our service technicians fulfill a critical role at Meissner Sewing, in making sure our customers receive expert advice and excelent service of their machines. We do this by providing our technicians with the factory training they need to accomplish and sustain the highest efficiency possible.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for troubleshooting, service, and repair on all makes of sewing, quilting, embroidery machines and vacuum cleaners
• Positive interface with service writers, parts department and customers.
• Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications.
• Repair & Service of sewing, quilting, embroidery machines and vacuum cleaners

Ideal Candidate will possess the following qualities:

• Positive attitude and excellent customer relationship skills.
• The ability to set goals and accomplish them.
• The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work with little supervision.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working with various types of machines.
• Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Use computers for web based training and work order system.
• Technical degree or certification a plus.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
