Shop Foreman Job Summary

The primary function of the Shop Foreman/Lead Technician is to assign, supervise and verify the Quality of work performed by the Service Technicians. To perform quality repairs themselves and aid in troubleshooting and diagnosis of repairs. 
 

Shop Foreman Duties and Responsibilities 

Shop Foreman Qualifications

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.  High school diploma or the equivalent.  Two years of experience as a heavy-duty truck repair technician.  Working knowledge of all heavy truck repair methods.  One-year supervisory experience.  Excellent communication and managerial skills.  Valid Commercial Driver's License and good driving record.  Professional personal appearance.


WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a physically demanding position.  Will stand six to eight hours per shift; lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.  Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.  Must climb in and out of customer's vehicles to record information and road drive.  S/he will be required to wear a dealership uniform.
