Job Summary and Qualifications

Summary :

Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Paratransit Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of PACE participants.

Including transport of paratransit (ambulatory and wheelchair-bound) participants, durable medical equipment, pharmacy and any other transportation as deemed necessary.

Responsible for overall cleanliness and safety of the vehicle assigned on a daily basis. Responsible for communicating any safety issue(s) to the Transportation Manager.

What qualifications you will need :

Required Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Education : None Required License / Certification : NC Drivers License, BLS, First Aid Preferred License : Class B CDL with P Endorsement Required Experience : One year experience working with and / or transporting the frail and elderly.

Preferred Experience : Bus driver for schools or at risk populations.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• First Aid Basic must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Class C License
