The Sleep Lab Technician performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the direct supervision of a Sleep Technologist and/or the medical director or designee.
Education REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent.
From American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM):
Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state licensed &/or nationally educational facility OR a minimum of 6 months of experience with documented proficiency.
Enrollment in AASM A-STEP educational program within 90 days of date of employment.
Experience REQUIRED: Minimum of six months experience in polysomnography.
Licenses/Certificates REQUIRED: Maintains current training in Basic Life Support (BLS).
