Sleep Center Manager manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of one or more sleep centers. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the center(s). Being a Sleep Center Manager ensures patient care meets high-quality standards. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the sleep center(s). Additionally, Sleep Center Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires registration as a Polysomnographic Technician. Typically reports to a director. The Sleep Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sleep Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up and break down rooms utilizing infection control procedures.
- Room patients and review questionnaires for completion and clarity.
- Review financial estimate prepared by insurance team.
- Take Dental CT X-Ray (training provided).
- Accompany healthcare providers during patient encounters to accurately document physical examinations, and treatment plans.
- Enter medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems in real-time.
- Take digital impressions of teeth and bite (training provided).
- Provide patient education on oral appliance insertion, removal, cleaning etc. (training provided).
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience as a medical scribe, dental/ortho assistant, or medical assistant with expanded duties, or social worker is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures in the specific field (e.g., Sleep Medicine or Dentistry) is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient typing skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems is a plus.
DETAILS:
- Travel between to different offices is required: Lombard and Homer Glen both required.
- Reliable vehicle is required.
