Sleep Center Manager manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of one or more sleep centers. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the center(s). Being a Sleep Center Manager ensures patient care meets high-quality standards. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the sleep center(s). Additionally, Sleep Center Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires registration as a Polysomnographic Technician. Typically reports to a director. The Sleep Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sleep Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Summary

    The primary role of the QRC Manager is to develop an implementation and funding plan for the expansion of the QRC. The expanded center will build upon the current collaboration with Transponder and will include input and consideration of other community organizations, including Eugene Pride, Queer Eugene and Eugene Performing Arts. The Manager will seek and incorporate input from LGBTQ community members and communicate timelines and progress with the community and partner organizations. This person acts as a single point of contact and oversight for all QRC planning, especially with regard to the flow of information at the agency. The QRC manager will encourage internal and external coordination, collaboration and partnership. The position will be responsible for developing the plan to expand the current QRC, which will include identifying funding partners, locations, and collaborative models to ensure ongoing access to the center for LGBTQ community members.  


    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    Overall Management Objectives

    Convene the Community Advisory Group and ensure members are informed and have opportunities to share input in a meaningful manner

    Solicit community and QRC visitor feedback on a regular basis and incorporate that feedback into ongoing program development and evaluation

    Evaluate physical location options and provide recommendations to the QRC Leadership Team

    Provide guidance to the QRC leadership team, facilitating full participation, clarification of roles and responsibilities, joint ownership and mutual support

    Help ensure the flow of information and communication between the leadership team and stakeholders/community including recommendations regarding models of collaboration

    Ensure equitable access to the QRC, mediating disagreements, responding to barriers, concerns and input in a timely and respectful manner

    Develop and implement a workplan that incorporates partner and community input

     

    Advocacy and Resource Development

    Develop and implement a fundraising strategy that complements the partner agencies existing funding sources

    Write and submit grant proposals to secure ongoing funding for the QRC

    In collaboration with partner organizations, develop event, corporate and individual donor plans

    Participate in presentations about the QRC to staff, community members, funding partners

    Work with Development team to develop in-kind resources and partners

    Model and encourage a standard of professional conduct and work ethic to ensure the good reputation of the center and partner agencies

    Develop volunteer plan to support operation of the QRC


    Leadership and Team Building

    Provide mentoring, supervision, professional development and training to QRC Coordinator and others as needed

    Model direct and timely communication about needs and problems at all times, provide constructive feedback and initiate proactive problem-solving approaches whenever needed

    Keep meaningful data concerning the center and use that data in ongoing program development and evaluation.

    Develop and implement consistent written policies and procedures for the site


    Administration, Personnel and Finance

    Participate in the creation of the annual budget for the center to be submitted to the QRC Leadership Team

    Ensure that program expenditures are reasonable and allowable including providing guidance and support to partners

    Monitor monthly contract and grant budgets, facilitate the preparation of reports and budget modifications to be submitted in a timely manner

    Other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    Significant and exemplary program development, strategic planning, budgeting, administrative, supervisory, financial management abilities and experiences

    Significant team building and personnel management skills and experience

    Ability to build and maintain bridges between the QRC and its clients, other non-profit agencies, governmental entities, funders, and key community influencers

    Ability to communicate in group setting, including excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills

    Effective spokesperson and advocate with a comprehensive understanding of issues affecting the LGBTQ community

    Outstanding administrative, organizational and time management skills

    Excellent written and oral communication

    Comfort discussing sex, sexuality, and substance use

    Ability to work well with diverse populations and all key stakeholder groups

    Team player who is self-motivated, high-energy, enthusiastic

    Ability to transport self to job-related events, meetings and locations

    7 years combined related experience, with at least 3 years in management

    Flexible hours required, including evenings and weekends

    Ability to pass agency criminal background check

     

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required

    • Repetitive use of hands such as grasping, twisting/turning of wrists, and finger dexterity necessary to perform various clerical duties, such as typing and writing.
    • Frequent use of arms such as pushing and pulling to open and close drawers and cabinets
    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time at an assigned station
    • Ability to bend, stand, and reach to be able to transport clients and to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds (harm reduction kits, naloxone kits, testing and education materials)
    • Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less for processing of paperwork

    Working conditions, Travel and Environment

    The duties of this job require individuals be able to work in non-traditional and community-based settings

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
    • Ability to work 5 days per week for a minimum of 40 hours per week

    Travel to other locations as necessary to complete essential job functions

    • Ability to transport self to job-related events and locations
