Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:

• Responsible for keeping a daily count of supplies and notifying appropriate staff when supplies are needed.
• Responsible for daily department functions the polysomnographic technologist performs the specific duties and responsibilities required to organize and perform a variety of sleep diagnostic procedures.
• The technologist is responsible for the calibration and cleaning of equipment.
• The technician must possess the ability to work independently, aiding in conducting quality assessment/improvement studies, and patient support activities.

• Responsible for CPAP/BiPAP/ASV/AVAP titration and oxygen therapy when applicable.Responsible for troubleshooting any equipment or software malfunctions and reporting immediately to Natus tech support, the lead tech or Director when unable to resolve issues.

What qualifications you will need:

I.Minimum Requirements:

Education:Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program, Registered Nurse program, State Registered Nurse Assistant program or RPSGT, CRPSGT, or RST certification.

Licensure/Certifications – Preferred CRT, RRT or RN, SRNA or RPSGT, CPSGT, or RST

BCLS Required

Experience:3-5 years preferred

If NOT currently licensed as a Sleep Tech, Must obtain RPSGT, CPSGT or RST licensure with 24 months of employment and may work under the supervision of a licensed RPSGT.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), or State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, or State Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Registered Nurse, or Polosomnographer, or Registered Sleep Technician
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), or State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, or State Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Registered Nurse, or Polosomnographer, or Registered Sleep Technician
