Sleep Center Manager manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of one or more sleep centers. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the center(s). Being a Sleep Center Manager ensures patient care meets high-quality standards. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the sleep center(s). Additionally, Sleep Center Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires registration as a Polysomnographic Technician. Typically reports to a director. The Sleep Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sleep Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Brief description: A sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education.
    Description of main duties: Collect, analyze and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet the patient specific needs. Determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols. Review the patient's history and verify the medical order. Follow sleep center protocols related to the sleep study. Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnigraphic results.
    Requirements: Graduate of polysomnographic technologist training school, required. One year of full time employment as a polysomongraphic technologist, preferred. Experience with scoring sleep data preferred. Certification as a Licensed Polysomnographic Technician required. Appropriate licensure to practice in the state of WI.
