Develops and implements policies and procedures for the sleep center(s). Additionally, Sleep Center Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires registration as a Polysomnographic Technician. Typically reports to a director. The Sleep Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Responsibilities:
Familiarity with all aspects of billing and especially account receivables and coordination with medical biller and our billing service.
Experience as a Front office manager as well as office administrator.
Hiring new employees and mid level healthcare providers such as APRN/PA as well as general administrative support to our employees.
Knowledge and experience with a variety of medical office software (email tools, spreadsheets and database) and proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
Trouble shoot routine day to day IT issues
Managing the insurance contracts on yearly basis and price negotiations with health insurance companies, office vendors, service providers.
Maintenance of office policies such as OSHA.
Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
Someone with a creative mind and ability to suggest improvements and implement those changes in a healthy, stimulating, positive and constructive environment.
