Sleep Center Manager manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of one or more sleep centers. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the center(s). Being a Sleep Center Manager ensures patient care meets high-quality standards. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the sleep center(s). Additionally, Sleep Center Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires registration as a Polysomnographic Technician. Typically reports to a director. The Sleep Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. UPMC Hanover Sleep Center includes a 4-bed sleep lab, home sleep study access, and sleep medicine referrals with a board-certified sleep physician. Our program is accredited by the AASM.
Schedule: 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., two 12-hour shifts per week. Night shift only.
Purpose:
A sleep technologist works under the direct supervision of the lead technologist in partnership with the senior technologists and the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A registered sleep technologist can perform all basic functions of the lab. A non-registered sleep technologist must complete on the job training, ASTEP online modules and be credentialed within 18 months of hire.
